About Us - Executive Management Team
The Executive Management Team manages Glide Pharma's activities and is led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Each member of the team reports to the CEO.
Chief Executive Officer: Dr Charles Potter, MA PhD
Charles is the inventor of the Glide technology and founder of Glide Pharma. He holds an engineering degree and PhD from Cambridge University. Charles spent six years undertaking research within the Transplant Unit at Papworth Hospital, a specialist cardiothoracic centre, where he gained extensive medical experience. Charles has worked in four other successful start-up companies including nearly six years at PowderJect Pharmaceuticals where he saw the company grow from just five employees to over 1000. charles.potter@glidepharma.com
Chief Financial Officer: Simon Jones, BSc ACA
Following a degree in physics, Simon joined Ernst and Young where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Simon held a number of senior posts with Unipart. He joined Oxonica in 2000 as CFO and was involved with several fundraising rounds and the commercial development of the company including negotiating IP in-licensing and out-licensing agreements and the first major sales contract for the lead product to market. Vice President, Manufacturing: Michel Grandjean, Ing
Michel holds a degree in electromechanical engineering from ECAM Bruxelles and has more than 30 years’ experience in the international pharmaceutical industry. He has held positions as Chief Operating Officer at Phoqus Pharmaceuticals UK, Director of Strategic and Continuous Improvement for the three Patheon sites in Puerto Rico, in charge of business operational excellence. Prior to this, he was European Purchasing Director for Patheon and has held site director positions at Patheon and Hoechst Marion Roussel in the UK and Belgium, supplying global markets in highly complex environments. Michel has a proven track record establishing and managing manufacturing organisations, controlling the supply chain, reducing costs, gaining regulatory approval, problem solving and project management, and has also led engineering, supply chain and production teams.
